Users seeing the "Welcome to Twitter" screen indicate that Twitter is down globally.

Globally, Twitter users are currently having issues accessing the microblogging website or its mobile app.

The message "Welcome to Twitter!" appears on users' timelines when they attempt to enter Twitter's website. Twitter is the ideal way to see what's happening in your world, according to the notice, which is commonly displayed for new signups. It may also have a "Let's go" button that lets you follow specific users and subjects.

There are still individual accounts and the option to post fresh tweets on the website. But, loading a timeline — whether it is "For You" or "Following" — does not function at all. Users on Twitter are reporting broken timelines in Pakistan,

India, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries. There has been an uptick in reports for the website on DownDetector. Try lists (selected groupings of users) if your feed isn't loading otherwise; they seem to still function.

You can still submit new tweets using Twitter.com, but you cannot load the most recent tweets or refresh for new content.

It is unknown if this is scheduled maintenance, a server issue, or an attack on their networks.
