The majority of UAE Residents Want to Buy Cars in Ramadan
According to a recent Audi Abu Dhabi survey, the peak of this season, which falls around Ramadan, will see 60% of UAE residents purchase a new or used automobile.
Around 1,000 locals between the ages of 18 and 50 were polled by Audi Abu Dhabi and YouGov, a UK-based research company. 33% of respondents wanted to purchase a gasoline-powered car, while 13% preferred an electric car (EV). 14% of people had trouble deciding.
In the next three years, 52% of respondents said they plan to purchase an EV. They were worried about the charging infrastructure in the Emirates, though.
The UAE's growing EV adoption, according to Mark Austin, general manager of Audi Abu Dhabi, is a reflection of the nation's sustainability efforts.
According to Mark, EVs are growing in popularity and will help the UAE reach its 2050 objective of net zero emissions.
The top-of-the-line electric SUV, the Audi Q8 e-Tron, will soon be available in Audi Abu Dhabi's EV portfolio.
