WhatsApp Will Soon Let You Schedule Calls Like Zoom and Google Meet

The features present in competing apps are gradually being added to WhatsApp. Some Telegram-inspired features have already made their way to WhatsApp, and now the messaging service is following Google Meet's lead.

You will soon be able to plan calls in group chats on WhatsApp, just like Zoom and Google Meet. The WhatsApp beta for iOS version 23.4.0.75 has now begun to display this; it was first seen a few weeks ago on WhatsApp beta for Android.

WABetaInfo was the first to report on the feature.

In this screenshot, you’ll notice a new context menu that displays once the feature is activated for your account. You can choose a day and time for the group call using the scheduling option on this menu.

All group members will be notified once the call has been arranged, making it simple for them to join right away. It's crucial to remember that the ability to schedule group conversations depends on the call button you select to display the context menu and supports both audio and video calls.

Members of the organization may surely use this tool to schedule meetings and other events in advance. Without the need for further reminders, it makes sure that everyone in the group is aware of the set time and can accordingly get ready. Also, it might lessen the possibility of missed or sluggish calls.

Given that the feature is already in beta testing and since it is a minor one, it shouldn't take long for it to be added to WhatsApp for Android and iOS.
